Meet The Chief...

Lee Ippolito has over 30 years of fire fighting experience and has held the position of Fire Chief in Broadview Heights since 1989. He is a graduate of the State of Ohio Fire & Arson Schools and is a certified State of Ohio Fire Inspector.

The Fire Chief is responsible for all aspects of the city’s fire and emergency medical forces and equipment. He supervises fire operations at fire scenes, oversees rescue activities, conducts training and readiness drills, and inspects and evaluates the performance of the department’s personnel. The Fire Chief is also a working firefighter and emergency medical technician. He reports to the Mayor who is the Director of Public Safety.
